Ethos
Risborough Rangers coach girls and boys of ALL footballing abilities so if your child has never played but wants to come and have a go they will be made very welcome. Players benefit from qualified instruction using the latest soccer methodologies, We work using the FA 4 corners model and our football is closely modelled on the England DNA. Players will also learn individual skills and personal development as well as collective team development.
Football is about having fun and enjoying regular exercise. Helping players develop will also help to build self-confidence. We as coaches believe that everyone can benefit from playing the game and making new friends so come along on Saturday mornings and see what it’s all about.
New Players
We welcome new players to join in the fun, with our qualified coaches. All abilities welcome including new players to the sport, you’ll learn a new skill each week and make new friends guaranteed. If you are interested come and join us for a taster session.
What to wear/bring
Players should wear appropriate clothing including suitable shirts, shorts, socks and football boots on training and match days with warm clothing depending on weather conditions. Players are expected to wear studded boots. SHIN PADS are compulsory. Please also bring a soft drink.
Training
Training is held on Monday evenings with 2 sessions for the younger and older groups 5:00 to 7:15PM at Wades Park, Princess Risborough.
Matches
All our girls teams will be playing in the Berkshire league.
Coaching
All coaching is completed by fully qualified volunteer coaches where the club support and fully fund each coach’s development. As a fully volunteer supported club, we ask for parents to help support the club and teams and where possible volunteer in coaching, team administration or just generally helping where needed.
Important Note to Parents
Any player that has a medical condition such as asthma must always bring their own personnel medication to all training sessions and have it within easy access at all times.
Training is not a “drop and run” so we ask that parents or guardians to remain in attendance during the session or have someone there who is responsible for the player and encourages them at every opportunity.
All of our coaches/manager are volunteers and are CRB checked who have completed. FA child safeguarding, we also have two FA level 1 qualified coaches and one Level 2. We are always looking for more help, so if you would like to join the coaching team please speak to the manager Andy Burn.
If you would like any further information then please contact the manager above.
